Earle Olsen (1926-2011) was born in Chicago and studied there at the School of the Art Institute. After moving to New York City in 1951, he exhibited at the Bodley and Borgenicht Galleries. His work was purchased by the Whitney Museum of American Art and included in their annual exhibits of 1956 and 1959. He spent the rest of his career as a picture framer, first for Kulicke Frames and then for his own company. He retired to Athens, NY and spent the last two decades of his life painting every day.
